To be corresponde a los verbos españoles ser y estar. Dependiendo del sentido de la oración se deduce de cuál de los dos se trata:
- I am from Chile = Yo soy de Chile
- I am on vacation = Yo estoy de vacaciones

* Con el resto de tiempos verbales simplemente se añade not a lado del verbo, ej.: He was not, they will not be, etc.
